BENEFITS

Full-spectrum Vijaya Leaf extract containing cannabinoids is known to decrease pain and associated inflammation when topically applied to muscles. Pudina Satva contains menthol which helps improve microcirculation within the nerve. It also aids with nerve functioning at optimal levels, and reduces irritability and pain perception. Menthol assists oxygen intake and reduces the production of lactic acid in the muscle. Menthol is a selective activator of transient receptor potential melastatin-8 (TRPM8) channels and is a vasoactive compound. As a topical agent, it acts as a counterirritant by imparting a cooling effect. It initially stimulates nociceptors and then desensitizes them. Topically applied menthol may also activate central analgesic pathways. Karpur Oil contains camphor and is contended to activate heat-sensitive transient receptor potential (TRP) vanilloid subtypes 1 (TRPV1) and 3 (TRPV3). The topical application of camphor to the forearm skin elicits cold and warm sensations. In the initial period of stimulation, the concentration of camphor around free nerve endings is low. Therefore, camphor induces a cold sensation. The concentration of camphor around free nerve endings becomes higher over time. Then, camphor induces a warm sensation.

Phytocannabinoids are an important bioactive component of the Vijaya plant and are an antagonist of orphan G protein-coupled receptor 55 (GPR55, a potential third metabotropic cannabinoid receptor) without binding to CB1 and CB2 receptors. Interaction with GPR55 results in the inactivation of its pronociceptive signalling and thereby may provide symptomatic pain relief. Phytocannabinoids may also act as a muscle relaxer, making them a good choice for the recovery and treatment of sore muscles. The faster muscle recovery could be due to several mechanisms, or more likely their synergistic effects, such as antioxidant effects to combat free radical damage both at the muscle and central nervous system levels, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, and reduction in lactic acid and blood urea nitrogen.

Inflammation could occur due to multiple reasons. Cannabinoids have been shown to reduce cytokine and chemokine levels which suppress inflammatory responses by binding to CB2 receptors present on immune cells thereby may reduce muscle soreness.

Cannabinoids X Human Endocannabinoid System

Cannabinoids are natural compounds found in the leaves & flowers/bud of the cannabis plant. CBD (Cannabidiol) and THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) are two of the most studied and recognized chemical compounds found within the vast profile of cannabinoids.

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is present in every human biological system. ECS is a cell signalling system comprised of molecules that act as neurotransmitters (CB1 and CB2 receptors) spread across the human body. Some of the processes this cell signalling system is responsible for are mood, inflammation, immunity, pain, stress, sleep, and appetite.
Phyto-cannabinoids bind with the CB1 and CB2 receptors found within the ECS. This interaction helps simulate the cell signalling system and aid regulation of the mentioned symptoms.

Not just a placebo......

Having been a previous user of Boheco products, I naturally veered towards wanting to use Ease when suffering from a frozen shoulder.
The excruciating pain that I had tolerated for over a month, through mind-numbing numbers of pain killers, was alleviated after the first application of Ease. However, the nature of the problem being such as it is, the pain returned after half a day. but, to be pain free for half a day!!!!!
So, regular usage of Ease, along with the prescribed exercises, helps not only to relieve the pain of the condition, it also helps with the pain stemming post- exercising.
I may be far from a complete cure but I know I'm on my way to it, and with minimal pain that helps me go through my day with 'ease'!!!!!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does the Cannabis (Vijaya) leaf-based product range have full spectrum extract or broad-spectrum extract or CBD isolate?

They contain a variety of cannabinoids, including THC, THCa, CBD, CBDa , as well as terpenes and other compounds such as flavonoids, proteins, phenols, sterols, and esters.
• These extracts are desirable for several reasons. From an experiential standpoint, they replicate the flavor and aroma profile of the plant. From a therapeutic or medicinal standpoint, you get the full benefits of the entourage effect.

Is it legal to consume products with the Cannabis leaf Extract in India?

• As per government regulations, medicines containing any schedule E (1) ingredient such as the Cannabis Sativa leaf can be legally taken under medical supervision. All products meant for oral consumption can only be purchased against a valid prescription issued by a registered medical practitioner.

What is the Difference between CBD Oil & Hemp Seed Oil

• CBD oil is primarily derived from the flowers and/or the leaves of the Cannabis plant, whereas Hemp Seed Oil is derived from the seed of the Hemp (Cannabis) plant. CBD is majorly used in the wellness space, as its properties help in balancing the human body's ECS, thereby providing relief from pain, inflammation and anxiety caused by different illness/ailments. Hemp Seed oil is majorly used in the nutritional or cosmetics space, as it comprises of amino acids, Omegas, Vitamin E, anti-oxidants and minerals. Hemp Seed Oil does not have a similar medically therapeutic nature as CBD does. However, it is well renowned for the nutritional benefits it provides to the human body.

Is CBD present in Hemp seed Oil?

• No, CBD is not present in Hemp Seed Oil.

What is CBD?

• The term CBD is an acronym for Cannabidiol, one of the 113 phytocannabinoids derived from the Cannabis plant species. CBD as a compound is completely devoid of the intoxicating activity, whilst also exhibiting analgesic, anxiolytic, anti-convulsant, anti-inflammatory, antineoplastic and chemo-preventive properties.

What is THC?

• The term THC is an acronym for (−)-trans-Δ⁹-tetrahydrocannabinol, one of the 113 phytocannabinoids derived from the Cannabis plant species. THC is the only intoxicating compound present within the Cannabis plant species. It is generated as a biological defense mechanism against insect and pest infestation, ultraviolet light, and environmental stress. Several studies evidence that when used properly, THC has many additional medical benefits such as, pain management, nausea reduction, anti-inflammation and muscle control capabilities.

Can CBD get me high?

• Yes, due to the intoxicating nature of THC, its consumption will make you feel high; depending upon the amount, the method and the time in which THC is consumed. This occurs as THC is an agonist/activator of the CB1 receptor within the human body, characterized by increased blood flow to the prefrontal cortex region of the brain. This region of the brain is responsible for decision-making, attention span, and other executive functions, like motor skills. In short, THC intoxication can affect any of these functions to varying degree basis human physiology.

Do BOHECO’s Cannabis (Vijaya) leaf based ayurvedic products also contain THC?

• Yes, some products contain THC and thus should be used under medical supervision. Please refer the product label at the time of usage.

How does CBD work within my body?

• The effect of Cannabinoids like CBD on the human body can be determined through its interaction with the body’s EndoCannabinoid system (ECS). When a person consumes CBD, it interacts with the ECS receptors throughout the body, particularly the CB1 and CB2 Receptors. These receptors are the signaling pathways for pain perception, anxiety, stress, and inflammatory responses. When it comes to interacting with the human brain, CBD has shown to stimulate serotonin pathways in the brain, thereby providing relief for anxiety, depression, and migraine symptoms. CBD also helps regulate the activity of glial cells (which provide support to the brain’s neurons), bringing them back to a normal level.

What are some of the side effects associated with the consumption of medicines containing the full spectrum Cannabis leaf Extract?

• Although the consumption of full spectrum Cannabis leaf Extract is generally well tolerated by most consumers, there are a few minor side effects on a near-negligible scale which have occasionally been noticed in cases where more than the average daily recommended dose was consumed, such as :-
o Dry Mouth
o Diarrhoea
o Change in Appetite
o Change in Mood
o Drowsiness
o Nausea
o Increased levels of Liver enzymes
o However, such side effects are few and far between, with the number of consumers reporting positive effects drastically outweighing those reporting potential side effects.

What is the EndoCannabinoid system?

• The EndoCannabinoid System is a biological system composed of endocannabinoids, which are endogenous lipid-based neurotransmitters that bind to the cannabinoid receptors, and cannabinoid receptor proteins that are present within the central nervous system (including the brain) and peripheral nervous system.
