Seed Breeding & Genetic Research

Since 2015, we have worked to study, preserve, and standardise India’s native cannabis genetics, an effort rooted in policy reform and agricultural transformation. In partnership with CSIR-NBRI, we have established one of the country’s first curated landrace repositories and developed India’s first farm-stable, standardised seed varieties. This long-horizon research is intentional and nation-building by design - preparing India for the day regulated cannabis cultivation becomes a mainstream agricultural reality.

Product Development & Formulation Science

Our formulation research team develops indication-specific medicines across pain, sleep, and mental health - designing optimal cannabinoid ratios, polyherbal formulations, and new-age delivery systems that make plant medicine precise, accessible, and consistent. Every formulation is subjected to independent potency, purity, and safety testing before it ever reaches a patient.

Clinical Trials & Evidence Generation

BOHECO leads India’s most advanced clinical research programs for cannabis-based medicine. In collaboration with apex institutions such as Tata Memorial Centre, Jehangir Hospital, NIA Jaipur, and IAMJ, we have completed five human-grade clinical trials and multiple case series across arthritis, psoriasis, eczema, digestion, sleep, and mental health - with several more underway in the areas of lung and gastrointestinal cancers, breast cancer, palliative care, and oral squamous cancer.

BOHECO’s work at the farm level is where India’s cannabis future first takes root. Across state-approved research sites in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh, we are conducting multi-location cultivation trials - growing the plant under standard agricultural conditions to understand its behaviour across soil types, climates, altitudes, and agronomic practices. These studies are designed to build the scientific groundwork needed for a thriving cannabis-based agro-industry in India.

In partnership with CSIR-NBRI and state agricultural departments, this long-term research is establishing the agronomic intelligence the country will rely on once regulated cannabis cultivation becomes a mainstream agricultural opportunity.

Our cannabis leaves (Bhaang/Vijaya) are sourced through a government-approved supply chain under the supervision of the Madhya Pradesh State Excise Department, ensuring full regulatory compliance and transparency from the very first step of the process
