VARIANTS:

DIGEST is a proprietary Ayurvedic formulation. It works on the body’s Endocannabinoid System (ECS) to assist in relieving gastrointestinal issues and maintain digestive health. The full spectrum of cannabinoids in this Vijaya leaf-based medication provides natural treatment for symptomatic relief.

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is present in every human being. A cell-signalling system, it comprises molecules which act as neurotransmitters spread across the human body. The Phytocannabinoids bind with the CB1 and CB2 receptors which helps stimulate the cell signalling system and helps improve metabolism and appetite in addition to providing relief from gastrointestinal disturbances.

BENEFITS

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) may serve as a potentially promising therapeutic target against different GI disorders, including inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g. Crohn’s disease), functional bowel diseases (e.g. irritable bowel syndrome) and secretion- and motility-related disorders. Receptors bind with the cannabinoids in the gut, which may regulate GI motility, secretion, and the maintenance of the epithelial barrier integrity. Cannabinoids present in Vijaya leaves exert biological function within the gut which may inhibit peristalsis and gastric acid secretion and enhance food intake on the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Pre-clinical data from animal models of colitis have shown that cannabinoids can limit intestinal inflammation and disease severity, justifying the therapeutic role of cannabinoids in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Ginger acts as an antioxidant and supports good digestion. It has been used in traditional medicine to relieve pain caused by diarrhea, predominant in irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and associated conditions. Bael/Bilva fruit is effective in managing diarrhea, dysentery and other gastrointestinal disorders. Bael fruit is rich in anti-inflammatory compounds called tannins, which ease stomach upset by reducing the inflammation within the digestive tract. Kutaj has the most prominent benefit in managing diarrhea and dysentery due to its microbial activity. It is also useful in managing bleeding piles due to its astringent property.

Cannabinoids interact with the CB1 receptors which may increase metabolism and reduce energy storage, resulting in lower BMI. Compounds in ginger have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which may help a person burn fat and regulate their blood sugar.

Cannabinoids stimulate the hunger hormone, ghrelin thereby helping patients with poor appetite or those who feel full before they have eaten enough to meet their nutritional needs and therefore improving appetite.

Cannabinoids X Endocannabinoid System

Cannabinoids are natural compounds found in the leaves & flowers/bud of the cannabis plant. CBD (Cannabidiol) is one of the most studied and recognized chemical compound found within the vast profile of cannabinoids.

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is present in every human biological system. ECS is a cell signalling system comprised of molecules that act as neurotransmitters (CB1 and CB2 receptors) spread across the human body. Some of the processes this cell signalling system is responsible for are mood, inflammation, immunity, pain, stress, sleep, and appetite.
Phyto-cannabinoids bind with the CB1 and CB2 receptors found within the ECS. This interaction helps simulate the cell signalling system and aid regulation of the mentioned symptoms.

Hemp Seed oil is majorly used in the nutritional and cosmetics space, as it comprises amino acids, Omegas, Vitamin E, antioxidants and minerals. What is CBD?

The term CBD is an acronym for Cannabidiol, one of the 113 phytocannabinoids derived from the Cannabis plant species. CBD as a compound is completely devoid of the intoxicating activity, whilst also exhibiting analgesic, anxiolytic, anti-convulsant, anti-inflammatory, antineoplastic and chemo-preventive properties.

Can CBD get me high?

How does CBD work within my body?

The effect of Cannabinoids like CBD on the human body can be determined through its interaction with the body’s Endocannabinoid system (ECS). When a person consumes CBD, it interacts with the ECS receptors throughout the body, particularly the CB1 and CB2 Receptors. These receptors are the signaling pathways for pain perception, anxiety, stress, and inflammatory responses. When it comes to interacting with the human brain, CBD has shown to stimulate serotonin pathways in the brain, thereby providing relief for anxiety, depression, and migraine symptoms. CBD also helps regulate the activity of glial cells (which provide support to the brain’s neurons), bringing them back to a normal level.

What are some of the side effects associated with the consumption of medicines containing the full spectrum Cannabis leaf Extract?

Although the consumption of full spectrum Cannabis leaf Extract is generally well tolerated by most consumers, there are a few minor side effects on a near-negligible scale which have occasionally been noticed in cases where more than the average daily recommended dose was consumed, such as:- Dry Mouth Diarrhea Change in Appetite Change in Mood Drowsiness Nausea Increased levels of Liver enzymes However, such side effects are few and far between, with the number of consumers reporting positive effects drastically outweighing those reporting potential side effects.

What is the Endocannabinoid system?

The Endocannabinoid System is a biological system composed of endocannabinoids, which are endogenous lipid-based neurotransmitters that bind to the cannabinoid receptors, and cannabinoid receptor proteins that are present within the central nervous system (including the brain) and peripheral nervous system.
